Grand Turk Historical Building
This house was the traditional home of the Robert’s family.
Built in 1850’s for Benjamin H. Roberts, the house resides opposite Robert alley, which was named after the family.
Mr.Roberts was a carpenter by trade and had the distinction of building the old salt wharf opposite Queen Victoria Library.
Mr.Roberts was also the lighthouse keeper for many years.
Today Mr. & Mrs. Simons owns the house, who were the neighbors of the late Mr.Lloyd Roberts, the youngest of the family.
The house has been restored to reflect its origins as a simple home built by the island’s hard working and industrious ancestors.
Today this home is also being used as Air B&B, it’s in a prime location near restaurants, bars, grocery stores, government offices and also other historical buildings.
